Fast Scrolling

To scroll quickly through verses simply tap on the Chapter name at the top of the screen and use the slider to scroll quickly through verses.

Bookmarking

To bookmark a verse tap on the verse and then tap on the bookmark icon (+) from the Verse Options menu. To delete a bookmark swipe over a bookmark and tap on delete.

Emailing a Verse

To email a verse, tap on the verse and then tap on the email icon from the Verse Options menu.

Search

You can search both the Holy Quran text and the selected translation. You will need to add the relevant keyboard from iPhone Settings before searching.

Searching Holy Quran Text

When searching for Holy Quran text you do not need to type the vocalization "Diacritics" or Tashkil, Harakat e.g (Fat'ha, Kasra, Damma, Tanwin or Zer, Zabar, Pesh) as we have made searching more simple.

Searching for a Specific Word

To search for a specific word try entering a space character either before or after your keyword.

Recitation

To start recitation, double tap on a verse or single tap on the verse and then tap on the speaker icon. If the recitation files are not locally available, alQuran will first download them. To stop recitation, double tap again on a verse or single tap and from the Surah Options menu tap on the speaker icon.

Recitation Files

You can delete, update and download recitation files for the selected reciter by going to Settings > Manage Recitation Files.

Updating Database Files

You can update database files for Quran Text, translation and commentary by going to Settings and then taping on appropriate button in Update section. Updating will ensure your downloaded database files are up to date with our server which can fix errors and mistakes.
